I haven't played in any SSBB tournaments. Anybody know how to set it up? Do we just get 16 or 32 players and setup head to head matches then advance the winners?

well we gotta find out whos all playing so we can set it up cause we cant have a tourney with only 3 people

Here's what we suggest:

- Run a tournament with 8, 16, 32 or 64 players depending on how many people register. To register, player must have a WaggleZone account and needs to send us their SSBB friend code.

- First Round matchups are determined randomly by WaggleZone staff

- Each round lasts 3 days. Opponents must arrange a time within the 3 days to play their match. They can communicate with each other using the WaggleZone messaging feature or this forum.

- Since the match is unsupervised, win/loss is on the honour system. If there is a dispute (i.e. both players report back that they won) then a re-match will be held with a WaggleZone staff member "in the ring" to watch but avoiding contact with the opponents.

- All matches must be 5 man survival, on the Final Destination map (open to suggestions for the map) with medium items.

- After each round, the winners advance to face their next opponent and the process repeats. There may be one or two days in between rounds to give people a chance to setup their next match.

- Tournament standings / results will be posted to a special page on WaggleZone. The SSBB friend code for all registered players will be posted on the tournament page prior to the start of the tournament to make it easy to get the friend code of your opponent.

- Those that have video capture capability are encouraged to capture their matchup and post it to WaggleZone on the SSBB page so that others can check out the action.

What do you guys think? Will this work? If so, we'll send out a notice to our members asking them to register for the tournament.

yea it sounds good but i think 5 lives is too much i'd rather stick with 3 stock match 7 minutes & no items.

It looks like there is interest in the tournament so we will send out a notice soon. We've been busy making a few small changes to the site and will send out a newsletter in the next few days.

Im in! But i got some Rule suggestions:

5 life match (it might last long but then u get the chance to really show some skills)
No item (if you are unlucky with one trophy or somthing u might lose)(or maybe only smash ball)
Final Destination sounds right...
We can also use Pokemon stadium 1, Pokemon staduim 2, battlefield and Luigi's Mansion... just some suggestions
